Women's Ministry
We are currently on Summer Break with all our activities. Please check back to the website or watch the announcements for a startup date in the fall!
Bible Study is a great way to become more connected to God and to fellow women of the Church. There are currently women interested in starting a new study during the day and evening. Please contact Anna Johnson if you are interested in being part of a new group.
Bible Study Groups: Monday, 9:00 am, & the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm
Quilting Circle
2nd and 4th Thursdays
9:30 a.m.
Do you know how to tie a knot? Then you have all the skills needed to join the fellowship of the Quilting Circle. Women of all ages are currently participating. Quilts created by the group are donated to local shelters and halfway houses. Need another reason? Coffee is also served each week.
Annual Retreat
Annual retreats will be organized in the beginning of each year for women of the church. The usual retreat weekend is in mid-January. It’s a great getaway to learn more about God and each other in a fun and relaxing setting. Between 7-10 women have been participating in this wonderful experience since 2004. Watch announcements in November for information on the 2008 retreat.
Craft Day
On an occasional basis, Craft Days are held at the church. Local craftsmen/women share their talents with women of the church. Make and take activities and supplies are provided. We will be having two opportunities for Craft Day (fall/spring). If you’d like to volunteer to teach a craft, please contact Anna Johnson at the information below.
Annual Garage Sale
Women’s Ministry currently sponsors the Farmington Lutheran Garage Sale. It will be held in April/May 2008. This sale raises monies for current needs in the congregation and the team putting together this sale is always looking for more needs the congregation has for funding. This sale is a huge undertaking for our church and is a great way to get involved in ministry.
